I never thought I would say this, but I. Love. Vampires. Of course what I really mean are not real vampires... but Anne Rice's. Whoever can resist Lestat's charm? Then again, Anne Rice has been known to come up with plots and characters that are so marvelous that not even the great Darren Hayes and Daniel Jones were able to resist picking their band's name from one of her fantastic novels.
Okay, now I'm rambling XP~

For those of you who completely missed the point of my last journal entry, the long-awaited Queen of the Damned flick is opening today (April 4th) here. Yes, I'm VERY eager to see it. And yes, Lestat is damn gorgeous. And so is Stuart Townsend. Mmmm. Yummy.

Grrrrrrrrrh... help ><;;;; I'm starting to get addicted to oekaki... again T_______T;; I was so addicted once that I could not stop doodling everyday and always produced more than five oekakis a day, but I kinda got bored and lost the passion for oekaki after a while. But now... @#$%^&* can't stop oekaki-ing again! *_*;;; This is bad...

My brother got accepted into RMIT's foundation studies program. A 8-month-long one, which means he will already be in university late February next year, which also means that he will save one year off his school life (he's now in second year highschool). Sheet... life is so unfair T_T;;; I mean, if I'd known it was possible, I wouldn't even bother going through the long and agonizing final highschool year, knowing that I could have just ditched it for a glorious first university year. Am I making sense? I think not...
On another note, I saw Queen of the Damned. What a lousy piece of junk. It is just so NOT a classic work of art like how Interview with the Vampire is. The special effects are horrifyingly horrible, and it's so NOT Anne Rice's vampire story. Dear God, Marius should never be that UGLY. The only good thing about the movie is, well, Lestat. Lestat. Stuart Townsend plays him damn gorgeously, he might as well be a walking sex machine, to quote a friend's saying. Guh, I was practically drooling when I saw him walking around topless sexily. Hmmm-mm.

I tried Ragnarok Online. It's got one of the prettiest graphics I've seen in a game so far~ Everything is just so... pretty ^.^ The characters, as well as the monsters, are very cute :D~ I'm having huge problems with the superlagging though... and my superslow dial-up connection just doesn't help. I kept getting hit by monsters who do NOT lag, and couldn't hit back at all. Oh well.. at least I've gotten a taste of its beautiful atmosphere and magnificent details (lookit those trees!! Gosh...). I'll make sure to play a lot when I get the cable modem (that is, when I move)~

You are the OWL! You're the wisest of your friends and you aren't exactly a partier. But you are a caring friend and give great advice!
@_@;;; I feel like catching mice...

I've probably found my dream home. A very beautiful apartment, located right in the heart of Melbourne (though it's really just one block away from my current apartment), with two huge bedrooms and one huge partition room -- that makes three bedrooms, which is just what I need. It's for rent, and it's cheap. And I'll be like, next door to a lot of friends. Oh well... let's just hope everything works out and I get to move there before my bro comes in June... it'd be wonderful ^.^

Read. And think. It's kinda true, I guess -- I'm talking about point #3. I personally can't remember any kind of affiliations of gaming sites. Not until the Superior Partnership Alliance, SPA for short, which my previous, and first, site happened to be a part of.
Oh wow. I just can't believe how long ago that was. And how lucky I was, to actually had a chance to form an alliance with such... such... POPULAR gaming sites. I mean, whoah, I got to be affiliates of the Neo Highwind, Square Haven, and Square Unlimited. Each of these sites was probably about as popular as the GIA or FF Online or something. And my site, my lame piece of *$#% cheesy-titled site that didn't sound so cheesy back then (perhaps because approximately a thousand other gaming fansites had cheesier titles? I don't know) called RPG Emperor's Lair (okay, you can stop laughing now dammit) got 200+ hits a day even though it was only a year old. Now, 200 hits doesn't sound like much, but back then, it was equivalent to around 750 hits today. Or perhaps even more, given the Internet's outstanding growth in the last couple of years. Anyway, that's irrelevant. My point is, I feel very, very honored to be a part of the Internet's early gaming fansites history, and one of the elites too at that.
To conclude, to the few of you out there who still remember my old site, yes, it is a memory I will forever cherish, with all its good (hey, it was my first site, and I got to learn HTML, JavaScript and all those nifty graphic-editing stuff conjuring it up!) and bad times (like getting the layouts plagiarized 903450987143 times). I would really like to thank you all for your support, past and present. Even though afterwards I decided I wanted to have a personal/art/misc site (which just happens to be this one you're at) that was a lot more humble with a lot less publicity, I still get support from a lot of people. I appreciate it, I really do.
PS. Of course, the reason I wrote that last part was to tell you that Apsylus is no more than a humble personal site, created for my personal enjoyment and satisfaction, not for profit or web publicity or anything like that. So I have all the right to not update for two or three weeks or even a month, when I don't feel like updating. Got it? Good. Now you can go look someplace else within the site for the main contents. Gogogogogogo.

I looked at my baby photos last night, and came to realize one thing I've long known but not realize: I'm very blessed. Though occassionally I do have things that disturb or sadden me in one or the other way, I generally lead a happy life, have a happy family, friends, a nice home, and possibly everything else I'd ever need. Not that I want to brag about it; it's just that... I can't believe how lucky I am. And to think that I've not been thankful for all I've received in my life, because of all the little things that didn't please me.
People, if there's one thing that you really really need to do now, it is to COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS. Then, and only then will you realize that your blessings are far greater than your sufferings, even though it may not seem so. And then you can start being thankful for everything you have, not making a fuss over everything you don't have. However difficult your life is, it really helps to start realizing that you are blessed with the things you might not have noticed before.

Remember the other Anne Rice vampire test I took a couple of months ago? The one where I got Louis? Well, recently I tried taking the test again, and I got Lestat at #1 O_o;;; And then I stumbled upon another Anne Rice vampire test, and look what I got for that one:
You're Lestat!
Which Anne Rice Vampire are you?

One valuable lesson I learned in life: desperation motivates you. Badly.
You see, I have a Maths midterm exam coming tomorrow, and unlike how it was prior to the Digital Systems midterm I had this Monday, I don't feel like studying. At all. The reason for this is, of course, because the exam is not really mandatory. It's worth 12% of my final grade, whereas the final exam is worth 80% (the remaining 8% is for tutorial work and attendance). But if I don't come to the midterm exam or if I fail it miserably, the final exam's worth will be increased to 92%, making the midterm exam worthless. Now tell me, where am I supposed to get the motivation to study for the midterm exam from??

I think I screwed my Maths mid-term test O_o;; Oh well... anyway... what was I going to blog about? @_@;;; I forgot...
Oh... yea... well... I'm really amazed at how educational stress and pressure can help my art development XP~ You know, I can produce up to two complete, finished CGs PER DAY when it's exam time, whereas normally it can take me about a week or two, on and off, to finish one. If you've been following the updates log, see just how often I update with new art whenever I have exams (believe me, you'll know when I do, because I usually bitch about it a lot). It's kinda scary, really. As I said, desperation motivates.
