Okay... kinda long journal entry here... got a lot to cover ^^;;
First of all, I got a new toy! :D It's a P4 1.8 GHz PC with 512 MB RAM and 64MB video card and all that, with an LG Flatron 15" LCD monitor and a purplish-blue metallic CPU casing~ Hence its nickname "Dolphin" :D I've got a lot of stuff to transfer from my old notebook (@_@;; tiring), which I presume I won't be using any longer, except for when I go home for the three-month summer holiday. I have yet to get my new ADSL connection set up and running though, and since my dial-up connection will be dead anytime soon, I figure I have to do it pretty soon ^^;;
Secondly... whoa, I enjoyed my time in NZ. Despite all the exhausting bus trips, we all had a lot of fun. The sceneries were absolutely breathtaking, and the food was excellent XD~ One of the highlights was when my family and I got on a copter and flew to an island located in the middle of Lake Rotorua. The island was like some sort of wildlife conservative forest or something... it was all green with absolutely no humans or predators, just birds chirping and flying (!) around us. Because there were no predators to be wary of, the birds didn't fear us either, and they happily flew about (very, very close to us), following us as we delved deep into the forest. It was almost like paradise~ We also happened to see a saddleback, a very rare species of bird (only about 700 left in existence), jumping from one branch to another right in front of our eyes~! The bird was like half a metre away from me, and I had a clear view of it. I felt very lucky :D I would scan a couple of pics from the journey, but unfortunately I don't currently have a driver for my scanner that works with Win XP, so it's not working yet~ Later maybe.
On other news, I finally bought a GameCube~! And Luigi's Mansion! And finished it! Cool lighting effects, and though the game didn't really last long, I really enjoyed sucking up those ghosts XD~ I also got to play Super Smash Bros. Melee and unlocked all the secrets (whoa... those Zelda characters are just so whoa), played a couple of Star Wars: Rogue Leader missions, and had a go at Pikmin. I can't decide which game I'm gonna buy next (since obviously Soul Calibur 2, StarFox adventure, Zelda, and Mario Sunshine won't be released anytime soon)~ I just can't stop oogling at how cute the console and game disks are :D It's a pity that I had to get a PAL GCN though, because that means delayed (and most likely fewer) games T_T;
I also got a fax machine. Now I can send (and receive) fax~ At a much lower cost than usual, too (stoopid Post Office here charges AU$ 8 for each sheet faxed internationally. Die.) Oh, and did I mention I saw Spider-Man? It's awesome. Can't wait to see the rest of the trilogy~ Green Goblin and Spidey are just soooo slashable though... "Shut up when Mommy and Daddy are talking" -Spidey to JJJ, concerning GG and himself. WTH????

Got my hair dyed burgundy red~ Considered straightening it, but my hair is already pretty much straight that I only need to use the straightening iron now and then, so I figured there was no point wasting money for the costly permanent straightening. One of these days I gotta try dyeing it purple XD~

Been listening to some music from the Ayashi no Ceres OST. I find myself liking the tracks a lot, particularly GeSANG's Mugen no Kaze and the opening theme, Scarlet. I haven't seen any episode from the AnC anime yet, but the songs fit into the feeling of the manga well... the kind of feeling that somehow makes you want to cry everytime you think about it. I'm telling you, Watase Yuu is a goddess.
I've also started playing Final Fantasy VII again, mainly because my brother's started replaying Xenogears~ Even without the breathttaking, realistic rendering and graphics, the games are still captivating and addictive and unholily GOOD. Too much time to do nothing also caused me to pop in my various PS RPG discs and gape at how much joy (?) the opening sequences alone bring. Suikoden II's and Vagrant Story's, in particular, almost caused me to break down in tears of happiness/sadness/whatever -- the game's just so awesome, the characters so alive I felt like hugging them. Heh. Must go back to self-indulgence mode and play those old PS games now :P

I found a comic book store somewhere in the city, and was rather surprised... no, more like amused... to find Jo Chen's familiar, stunning art on the cover of Darkminds: Macropolis, stacked on one of the shelves. I wonder if she knew that a comic she'd drawn reached the other side of the world? I also found X-Men Evolution, art done by Studio XD. I was like, whoa. You know, back then I used to wonder if the people making the comics I read were human beings just like me, or if they were some otherworldly creatures, being so googily and all. I wonder if the comic world is changing...
