Decided to do away with the commenting system for now; it's been causing way too much problems than what it's worth XP Once I switch to a better blogging system (Greymatter or LJ or something else), comments will be back, but for now, you can simply e-mail me your comments or sign the guestbook~

Nothing too interesting has been happening... this week is school assignments week for me. I whipped up a 2000-word psychology laboratory report in 5 hours in the morning before it's due @.@;; I didn't even have time to check what I was writing about... basically just pure B.S. about things that are vaguely related to the topic. I'd be lucky if I pass O_o;;; I also had a Maths assignment, which wasn't too hard, except for the fact that there was one question that was printed wrong on the problem sheet. The lecturer corrected the error the day after the sheet was handed out, but I just happened to skip the lecture (my luck) and didn't know about it. I spent hours trying to figure out how to solve the friggin' question, all the while wondering if I'd suddenly become an idiot. Lucky I still had the brains to check the subject webpage online :P There's also the programming project, which is kinda easy but rather tedious to do. Argh. When will I learn to stop procrastinate? *_*;;

Yeah, so, I'm pretty much enjoying my Visual Arts: Space, Light, and Shadow class. It's my first ever Art class, and I can't exactly say I'm learning a lot from it. Most of what I do in class, I do out of casual experience, intuition, and common sense/observation. They didn't really teach a lot of stuff, except probably the importance of keeping your workspace clean, which isn't relevant for me anyway since I mostly paint digitally :P It does make me want to cry if I remembered how much money I paid for the (more or less dud) subject (from which I learn close to nothing), moreso because I'm an international student, and thus everything costs 3-4 times more. However, I must admit that it's fun. Fuuuuun. The first 4 weeks of class we got to do drawing, which involves charcoal and chalk and all the messy stuff I've never had the chance to use before. The class is a 4-hour block on Monday, from 1:15 to 5:15 PM, so it's pretty exhausting. I always go home soiled, tired, but excited XD Right now we're in the second 4 weeks, which is all about printmaking. I didn't have the faintest idea what printmaking was about, but it turns out to be soooo much fun. It's a lot less "artsy" than drawing; mostly it's about letting us know how to use the printing press (? I wonder if that's what it's called), file the edges of the metal plates that we use for etching, all those technicalities. As for the etching itself, well, we're supposed to use our own intuition and common sense. Heh. It's exciting though; today's 4-hour class seemed to end all too soon. I do go home dirtier than usual, especially since the ink we use for printing is kinda hard to rub off (my arm ached from all the filing, too O.o;), but I really don't mind. Feels like I'm back in kindergarten or something... you know, back when you were given loads of artsy stuff by your teacher to make something with, and you end up soiling your clothing and face and hands because you were too absorbed? Yeah, that's how it feels like XD I wonder how much fun painting, which would be on the last 4 weeks of class, would be =3

My parents are leaving for New York today because one of my cousins who live there is getting married on the 14th. It's 9/11, dammit. Of the 365 days in a year, why do they have to pick today to go on a trip to NYC??

I'm sure they will be alright... I'm just a bit anxious~

Goodness, it's so unpleasant to have your 16th-floor apartment facing west... especially when spring/summer comes O.o; It gets bloody hot in the afternoon, and by sunset you'd be perspirating like there's no tomorrow. It doesn't help that both floors of my apartment have rows of glass windows as the western wall ><;;;

Today's weather is unbelievably nice. I had to go out to see an optometrist in the morning, because it's apparently illegal to sell someone contact lenses without a prescription in Australia. Heh. Back home, if I ever needed to get replacement lenses I'd just point and pay. Heck, I can even get someone else to pick them up for me. Anyway. Got me lenses after going through various eye tests and stuff; had to pay a whopping $56 for the consultation fee though... what the heck. I then bailed my sorry butt outta there, called my brother to come meet me, bought a cone of really, really yummy gelato (my favourite XD the lady who works there's gotten used to seeing me everyday now), and found myself a seat in a park nearby. I sat there for about half an hour, barely thinking of anything, just enjoying life, the weather, and the gelato. Then my brother came, and we found our way to the market. Busy, crowded Saturday market. I stumbled upon a stall which sold homemade pasta, pie, cakes, and other yummy stuff, but what caught my attention was these small plastic containers with a sign saying "Tiramisu -- home made the REAL way" next to it. They listed all the mouthwatering contents -- real strong black coffee, mascarpone cheese, brandy, etc. I was nearly overwhelmed by the urge to just GRAB one of the containers and poured the contents right into my mouth. But I'd just eaten O.o;; AND the thing costs $6.60 each... damn expensive for one such small container. I kinda just stood there, torn between the desire to save my budget and the want to taste it. I was soooo about to finally walk away when the lady who attended the stall noticed me gaping at the tiramisu containers. She immediately opened one and offered me a spoonful of sample. For a second my thought was, you're too kind, lady; once I get a taste of it I'll be satisfied and leave; but she knew better! It was THE richest tiramisu I've ever tried, and definitely one of the nicest. Without a second thought I asked for one, paid for it, and almost emptied the whole thing in minutes. Sooooooooo nice. It was so rich, it was even dripping wet from all the alcohol. I savored every spoonful of it. Heck, even if it wasn't that nice, I'd have to; it cost me $6.60 ^^;; Got some mandarine oranges, too, by the way. Gotta love them oranges =3

I got an e-mail from my webhost saying that my website exceeded its 3 GB monthly bandwidth allowance last month, and they're asking me to upgrade my account so as to accomodate the excessive bandwidth. What the heck?? I thought 5 GB/month bandwidth = roughly 100,000 hits/month. Therefore 3 GB = approx. 60,000 hits/month. Unless somebody has somehow transformed my site into a gloriously public web portal without my knowing or something, I can assure you that my site does NOT get that many hits per month. What should I do now? I don't want to have to upgrade... so expensive ;_;

Fox's secured the rights for DBZ Live Action Movie, scheduled for release in 2004. Whoah. It's DBZ, and they're gonna make it live. It'll probably be the next Spider-Man or X-Men. Or even Star Wars, given that DBZ's very nearly legendary by now.

I wonder who's gonna be cast as Trunks? =3

I just ate a whole large-sized pizza all by myself. I really should've taken the time to have normal breakfast and lunch instead of replacing them with one huge meal like that... I feel sick now O.o;;

'kay... so... lemme recount what happened last night. I was going to write an entry about it when I got back home, but I was so tired I kinda went straight to sleep O.o; Anyway. The night started at 5:45 PM when I went out to meet people at the mall, 18 people I didn't know/never met before, save one. Hey... it was a good chance to make more acquintances :P So we met at the mall, then went to Timezone. I of course immediately swiped my card at the Soul Calibur machine, having not played it for aaaages now (@.@;), and enjoyed killing one character after another. After that, we proceeded to find the place of our main event of the night -- steak! The steak house's in the city, so it wasn't a very long walk, and it was soooooooo NICE :9~~~ Kinda expensive ($26 for a 200g steak?? WTH?), but I guess it's okay once in a while. Certainly one of the best steak I've ever had ^o^ After dinner, we decided to see a movie. We ended up watching the Sum of All Fears, which was a kickass movie. So adorably Tom Clancy heheheh. Go see it. Gogogogo.

Been trying to play Chrono Cross... but the further I go, the more complicated the game seems, and the less sense it makes. I mean, there are just too many branches/sidequests/subplots/characters/secrets/whatever that kinda get me all confused and lost O.o; Maybe I'm just being stoopid... I've not played an RPG for such a long time that I might actually FORGET how one looks like.
