Bwah... I just saw my dad off to the airport. Yes, my dad. He turned up in my apartment one day (I think it was last Wednesday?), just like... that. It was a nice surprise visit for my brother, who just had his 18th birthday ^^ I've been pretty much doing nothing else but shopping around, eating, and.. shopping around. I have a scary backlog of e-mails to reply to, and there's next to no art to update the site with, so you'll just have to bear with me :P
Anyway, the last couple of days were fun... aside from the not getting anything done part. Uni's started again already~ I need more of the break TT; The summer semester was OK, at least I got to get a moderately good mark and wasted only one and a half months for it, instead of the usual 3. Plus, doing that lets me have only 3 subjects this semester, so it's all good. Let's see how much I can get done with one less subject to deal with.
Speaking of getting things done, I.. did next to nothing in terms of art and the site revamp (see Feb 21 post). I feel terrible :P

Today, I:,
- 8 AM: woke up.
- 9 AM to 3 PM: work.
- 4 to 5: school.
- 6 to 8: aikido.
Yes, aikido. I'm trying to pick it up again after one and a half years, and the class so happens to be on Tuesdays and Thursdays. And this Thursday, I just happened to have a lot of... other things to do :P I'm really tired ~_~;

Today my contributor's copy of Ragnarok Online Official FanArt Collection Vol. 1 arrived in the mail~~ It was in a rather bad condition though, since Gravity apparently didn't bother to properly pack it up :P It was put inside a regular, flimsy brown envelope that's not even closed -- it was tied together with a rubberband O_O; The hard cover case (whatever you call it) is all bent in the corners and such, but the book inside survives :D Reeeeally lovely fanarts from all over the world. All those googily Japanese and Korean art too... eek. I don't know whether I should be elated or depressed seeing my fanart amongst them. At any rate, the coolest part of the book is the last couple of pages. They have this little section labelled "Celebrate Illustrations" or something like that... and inside that little section, amongst DTDS/Gravity's own illustrators' art... is a Hyung Tae-Kim RO fanart! Of a female mage too, at that~! As is the case with other HTK artworks... it's just too googily :O~~ A real eyecandy with hundreds of style variety, this book is. A prized possession =3

Whoa... I've not posted anything for a while huh ^^;; I've been quite busy lately, with various things in life (>:D) taking their respective tolls on me. Many good things have happened though, so despite all the stuff I've got to do, I feel really grateful for everything I've seen and been through.
On a completely unrelated note, it seems that people have been madly trying to reload the site to get to the 100,000th hit O_O;; Do they not notice that the counter only counts unique hits? I had twice as many reloads today ^^; It certainly is nice to know that people care though ^o^ Thank you everyone~~~ m(__)m

Uhm... yeah... so I had THREE 100,000th visitors. I don't want to go accusing anybody of fraudulent screenshots or anything, so I'd like to think the mad amount of reloads overwhelmed my counter or something like that :P I had a total of 623 reloads the day the counter hit 100,000, while the number of unique visitors remained about normal. Don't people notice that refreshing the page doesn't increment the counter? :P Oh well.. thanks all for visiting anyway ^o^~! In any case, I don't want to know about my bandwidth usage this month, really ^^;;
Speaking of bandwidth usage, art thievery sucks. I don't mean thievery as in taking-my-art-and-using-them-without-credits kind of thievery; while it is irrespectful, it's still within the acceptable range. I'm talking about taking my art and claiming them as one's own work. That is just... offensive. You just don't take someone else's hard work and claim you did them. What kind of person would want to receive praises and compliments for something he didn't do? Only the lowest kind, I'd think. Yes, I'm pretty pissed off, if you can't tell. This art thief I'm talking about in particular caused me a lot of grief. Not only did he took credits over my art, he also didn't even bother to download my stuff and upload it to his own server. He robbed my already limited bandwidth by hot-linking it from my server instead *_*;; What a **(censored)**.
If you're curious to know what exactly the case I'm talking about is, check this out:
page 5 of a thread. Check out page 6 too, where he got a bit out of control. I'm really grateful to the kind person who brought this into my attention~ I notified the board mods right away, and they took the pics down; but you can still see what the stupid thief tried to do.

Lygon Street, on which Melbourne's own Little Italy is situated, is something I'm rather fond of. Nevermind the fact that it's almost like my own backyard --having to go along a good three-fourths of it everyday to school and back again gives you that feeling-- it's just full to the brim of assorted goodness. As is the norm with any other Little Italies, it's got loads of good Italian/pasta/pizza (call it whatever you wish) restaurants. It's also got a good load of dessert yummies, and non-Italian goodies. There's a Borders somewhere down the street, and a huge Safeway too. Aside from the delicious pizzas and tiramisu slices, Lygon Street also means some of the nicest souvlakis and baked potatoes you can find in Melbourne. But there's one thing you can find on Lygon Street that's a rarity anywhere else: gelati. Terrific authentic Italian gelati, not the average mobile gelati-wannabe icecream kiosks. There are three gelati houses on Lygon: one has great waffles to go under your tasty scoop of gelati; another has simply the best fresh-tasting fruit flavours and yummy creamy varieties of gelati, and the last one I just discovered today. Well, okay, "discovered" is not the best way to put it, since I've always known it's there ever since it opened a couple of months ago, but today I decided to give it a try. The fruit gelati (I tried mango) isn't as smashing as the second gelati house I mentioned, but dangit, this one has gelati made of Ferrero Rocher chocolates. With real Ferrero Rochers on top. Gelati + Ferrero Rocher = ADDICTION.
Boy am I thankful to live just minutes away from such a fun-filled street >D
