My pre-ordered copy of Phantasy Star Online: Episode I & II for GameCube has finally arrived! @_@! No online thingies for now (Nintendo Australia needs to be shot), but it's a really entertaining game, for lack of a better word. It'll keep me hooked even after May 9, which is the release date of LoZ: tWW. Heh.

Went and watched the Animatrix today~ There was a special screening at a local cinema, and boy am I glad I made it (I almost didn't, heh). It was amazing. Totally mind-boggling. Needless to say, I just sorta jaw-droppingly stared at The Final Flight of Osiris -- I thought they were real people at first @_@; I really had to look hard to find the traces of superficiality that usually tell computer-generated characters and real people apart. But Square did such an amazing job on it; it's a thousand times more well done than FF: tSW methinks. I mean, honestly, if it weren't a part of the Animatrix, I wouldn't have guessed the characters weren't real. All in all, the Animatrix is really something you wouldn't want to miss if you're into the Matrix =3

Saw X2 yesterday. 'Twas excellence. Nightcrawler kicked numerous quantities of butts. Colossus was cool. Mr. Jackman was being a total bad-ass. Pyro was screwed, but then he always has been. Yuriko/miss-Scorpion-King looked awesome. And OMFG, is that PETER WINGFIELD I SEE THERE??? For those of you not in the know, Peter Wingfield played the legendary Immortal Methos in the Highlander series -- and he's like, my favourite Immortal. So yah. I nearly choked when I saw him flaunting his charm there on the big screen. And the next movie's so going to be about Phoenix. Oh well. I drooled way too much for my own good, heh.

I ran across some sort of DVD sale at Target a couple of days ago, and I found Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights, for sale at AU$9.95 -- about US$6. There is no friggin' way a DVD can be sold at that price -- and it's Wuthering Heights, too! Naturally, I bought the thing without a second thought. I just watched it~ Boy I love WH. Oh, and Ralph Fiennes <3 <3 Go read the book if you haven't already~!

I received my Animebooks order today~ Ya, I placed an order for a couple of artbooks I've been wanting a couple of days ago, and I had a pleasant surprise when the parcel arrived a week earlier than expected X3 Anyway, yeah, I basically have been spending the rest of the afternoon drooling over my Suikoden II 108 Stars and PSO Design and Material Collection books, and my bro's Xenogears Perfect Works. All I can say is, whoah....

Saw The Matrix: Reloaded last night. It was crowded as heck even though it was already the second day, but it was not as hectic as Star Wars: Episode II's second day. The extras were cool; I MUST see: Bruce Almighty, and of course The Last Samurai. Anyway, the movie is... excellence (been saying this too many times, now). It's a worthy sequel, I must say, though of course it's got less of the originality factor the first one has, which is one of the main disadvantages of sequels. But Neo was (as always) cool as heck X3; The movie's got a lot of tie-ins with a couple of the Animatrix shorts, which came as a bit of a surprise. And the Revolution trailer... wooowie X3 X3

So... today is my birthday, and it be the first one I'd spent without either of my parents. I've still got my brother and my two cousins though, plus all the wonderful friends, so today's been a blast. Last night/this morning at midnight, my cousins and brother gave me a tiramisu cake, the same one I had last year. It's really yummy =9~~

My mom (and dad too, I suppose) gave me this beautiful diamond ring that fits so well I can't help but wonder whether my mom used her maternal superpowers to guesstimate the size of my finger. My 10-year-old sister's present was sent along my mom's; it's a really cute photo album. So thoughtful of her~~ My cousin (a.k.a. lifelong twin -- she's only a month younger than me, and we've been having fun together ever since we were babies) made this spiral-bound calendar-slash-memorial-album thingie that had a photo when we were five years old, and then a recent one, of her and me. So cute ^o^~! The real shock came from my brother however, as he presented me with a huge box... labeled "Wacom Intuos 2 9x12". OMG, it's... huge. I'm so used to my minuscule, 2-year-old Graphire, making this thing nothing less than gigantic. Wooow. Now let's see some results ^.~

On other news, I had my hair cut yesterday, and it's really quite short now. I got rid of about 20 cm of hair length, and boy does it feel weird. I also re-dyed it, this time it's a kind of purplish red. Love it <3

I would have written more, but (1) last night/this morning I had a huge urge to write a lengthy entry about many things, but somehow MovableType refused to log me in into my own blog. Apparently some changes on Rydia.Net's server caused this problem (and a couple of others too), but hopefully it's all OK now; and (2) I did actually write a lengthy entry just now, something with a lot more substance than the stuff above, but viewing an e-card one of my friends gave me somehow killed my IE, and my entry with it. Oh well :P :P

Since Photoshop 6.0 refused to cooperate with my sparkling, brand-new Intuos 2...

...I replaced it with Photoshop 7.0. Mwahahahaha!! XD;

Painter 6.0 decided to follow in the footsteps of Photoshop 6 and simply refused to cooperate with my new tablet. After asking around and some rummaging through Corel's public FTP site, I found a patch, which completely fixed the problem I had. Goodbye, Painter 6.0. Hello, Painter 6.0.3. Darnit, this brand-spanking-new big-arse tablet just had to come around at the time I'm about to have my exams~
