What drawing means to me: it is, first and foremost, my outlet of expression and imagination~ It's such a rewarding feeling when you get to pour the stuff you have running through your head into a physical form and share it with people. On a slightly unrelated note, it's perhaps one of the things you can use to gauge your skills with too -- when what you draw exactly resembles the image in your mind, you'd know that you've reached the level of professionals and masters. That's what I believe, anyhow~~

Oya, just a quick update: I have one essay due this coming Monday; a Java programming project for the following Monday; and a game programming project in Prolog language a couple of weeks after that. Not to mention another essay, due two days before the game project O_O; This semester's gonna be a lot of work, I can tell (not that it isn't already)~ TT

I have an 1000-word marketing analytical/research essay due at 5 PM today, and I. Have. Not. Started. Yet. Can anyone say "ferk"? Also, I have a Java programming project due next Monday, and surprise surprise, I haven't touched it at all, either. If you sent me an e-mail and are expecting a reply, know that it might not come within these couple of days, due to the aforementioned reasons.
On other news, sliiiiightly related to the above paragraph, two of my mom's sisters are here, as well as my dad -- and September 7 just happened to be Father's Day, too. Lotsa fun is being had despite the... most dire circumstances. Gave me dad a golf shirt and mucho lovin' X3 Had dinner at this awesome Chinese restaurant just a few blocks away with me friends (along with dad and aunties, obviously, as well as many other people), had lots of fun. Funfunfun.
And now it's time for me to spew forth 1000 words' worth of crapozoid BS. Fun.

So my father and two aunts left this morning, at 10. I saw the doctor again, hopefully for the last time, at 9. He took a look at my right eye, and told me it's gotten a lot better. However, he also mentioned that there will be a permanent scar, though small, on my cornea, which will cause me to see glares from night lights and such. Oh well... I suppose it could've been worse -- I'm grateful that it isn't.
Dashed back to help my father with the luggage, and went to pick up aunties at their hotel. Saw the three of them off from the hotel, my brother and I did. And as the taxi drove away, we felt colorful, sweet life being drained out of us. I guess that's just how much my family means to me... when I'm with them, I feel I'm surrounded with love and happiness, even though at times we might have little arguments. I know I'm being a bit more sentimental than usual, but a little sentimentalism now and then can't hurt :P
Anyway, after that I decided to head home for a bit after buying Chinese takeaway for breakfast/brunch, since I was supposed to work at 12. At quarter to 11, however, my phone rang and my manager said that she'd like me to be there and start working at 11... I was like, WTF? Someone must have cancelled his/her shift and she was desperate to find a replacement, and I live so nearby. So I scrambled and got there... juuust on time XD Hahahah fun busy day. Call me crazy, but work just seems a lot more fun and challenging when it's just too busy to be true.

I'm officially addicted to roast chestnuts. Yes, you heard me right. They are warm and soft and nutty, and really easy to peel when they're roasted enough. There are many overseas students working part-time selling these lovely things on the streets of Melbourne during winter, so even though they're rather expensive (AU$3.50 for a small bag! Ouch) I have them almost obsessively.
My second addiction to be declared official this month is J-Cafe. It's located really close to my apartment, and it's got the NICEST food and Japanese munchies. Strawberry daifuku. Cream daifuku. Green tea mousse. Argh too many nice things T_T I also dig the meals too, but I always have oyako salad (which is like, huge, with teriyaki chicken making up half the plate) -- it beats everything else X3 I believe Piro and co. can testify for the cafe's yumminess :D~

By the way, just a quick plug: come to #hayase on irc.austnet.org! I'm there on most nights, it's a fun channel for anime artists and fans alike X3

Ohohoho~~ Finished with the Java programming project~~ I still have a (rather sophisticated) card game to write in Prolog (weird logic programming language..), due in two weeks' time, and a research essay due two days after that; but I've decided to give myself a break after the laborious work during the last couple of days. Life, here I come.

I have just got back from watching Pirates of the Caribbean, which is one EXTREMELY FUN MOVIE. I got meself some love for the pirates now, arr. Or, well, you know, more love than I had for them already. But anyway. Captain Jack Sparrow is so... GUH... I don't think I can ever tell properly in words just what sort of attraction he has, heh. Orlando Bloom doesn't look half bad in the movie, and that lady sure is byootiful <3, but ooh... now I understand the massive amount of Japanese fanarts. The whole movie is just so beautifully and smartly done, methinks. Interesting characters and plot twists, and darn the whole thing looks amazing. Those costumes *_* Maybe the best (worst?) part is, however, the fact that there are many many things reminiscent of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride... you know, the one in Disneyland. I so love that place... and the movie really made me long for pure childish enjoyment I find there again. Heheh.
On a completely unrelated note, today work was crazy. CRAZY I tell you. There were half as many people working as usual, just about, and customers just kept on coming. By the time the lunch hour rush was over, I was so tired I could've used some sleep straightaway. I was actually feeling dizzy afterwards, whenever I bend my head just a bit. Hahaa... the movie completely refreshed me though <3

Just finished watching all 13 episodes of Weiß Kreuz: Gluhen~~ I must say, though the new character designs aren't half bad, it would have been better if they could use the original designs~ The difference somehow changed the feel of the characters. It's really droolable though, full of gorgeous, cool bishies (as is to be expected from Weiß), the animation is way better, and the music. Oooh the music. I loved all the reminiscence parts (OMG SCHWARZ), though I must say the end really doesn't make things clear at all. I wouldn't expect Aya to end there, but at least tell us what is to happen to Yoji and Ken? And Schwarz too :P
Oh well... all in all, it was great. Even if only for the sake of reminiscence, it was totally watchable <3
