The new QV city block in Melbourne is now open~ It's very close to my apartment, and the number and variety of things it holds are amazing! O_O It's got the first full line supermarket in the city, a huge Safeway. With a huge Liquor section too. It's also got a Big W, and a big and varied foodcourt. They are about all that are open right now, but soon there are more coming -- fashion, bar, etc. And to think I only live a block (and a half, if you will) away from this phenomenon! XD Now I can go supermarket-shopping as often as I like.
Exams are starting soon, the stress is upon us all! Err, upon me at the very least. I can't believe my exam timetable, it's got to be the worst thing to happen to me in the 2+ years I've been here.
I bought the ticket for the Matrix: Revolutions! =D On the opening day! 7:30 PM! Can't waaaait X3~

For the 209863th time I confirm: Weiß Kreuz music is NICE. I have the opening to Glühen stuck in my head. On other music-related note, FFX-2's Real Emotion is addictive too~

What a day... Today was my last shift at Subway this year, since I'll be having my exams in a couple of days and I'll be going back afterwards. I got up thinking how I was going to miss everyone and such, but the thought was rather quickly forgotten due to the unbearable HEAT. It was a friggin' 32C today (though that's the normal temperature back home in Indonesia, it felt very hot... especially because it'd been 15C just five days ago. Gotta love Melbourne weather), and with eight people and a couple of defunct air-cons, it was as hot as a sauna, I kid you not. We were all sweating like mad, and the "good" weather, which was bringing a lot of people in, made it even worse because we had to run around a lot too. By the end of the shift, all I could think about was getting back to my comfy apartment and turning on the aircon.
It just had to be on a day like this, that both elevators in my building had to break down. I mean, one is understandable, but both at the same time? Given the reputation of the property and the building manager, this really wasn't supposed to happen. Everyone I happened upon in front of the elevators were more or less thinking about the same thing... yet I was the only one panicking about it. Evidently, none of them live on the top floor of the building... which happens to be the 16th floor. Everyone else was all content with climbing up the stairs. I decided to give the building manager a call, yes they knew about it, yes the contractor was coming, yes the elevators'd been broken for two hours and no they were not fixed yet. Okay...
So I went to the nearest Hudson's Coffee and had a cup of their marvelous Marble Mocha (yum) because I was just so tired and needing a place to sit down. Went back and discovered that the elevators still weren't working, then decided to screw it, and yes, I ran up 16 floors' worth of staircases.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll just go collapse on my bed, with the wonderful thing called air-con turned on.

Oh, before I forgot: the BreadTop at QV is now open! =D I love their breads and pastries to pieces, they're just sooo wonderful. I've always invaded the amazingly delicious BreadTalk whenever I'm in Singapore, and having something similar here is just =D. If you ever happen across one of these (BreadTop or BreadTalk), give it a try. You're sure to be hooked for life~!

Ahem, yeah, so today I had my first exam. Tomorrow I have two, and at the moment my brain feels like it's gonna explode from the stress, heat, anxiety, etc., you name it. One thing that really annoys me is that the lecturer for this Java subject I'm having an exam on tomorrow, doesn't even bother to have a printed version of the lecture notes. Urgh. I mean, if he couldn't give us our projects back before the exam (which he didn't -- despite the fact that the material covered in the project will be examinable), the least you can do as a lecturer is to give us lecture notes we can study from. Now I'm not only getting my brain fried, I'm also totally wearing out my eyes. Arghstabstab.
Sorry for the outburst... if you couldn't tell, I really could use some rest right now =_=;
