Holiday, home, family and friends really help lift your soul. Everything's been great; nothing to be done but having great fun, all the time. Three months, and I can feel the end of it creeping closer now... boy if only it could last forever (the aforementioned things also make you a spoiled, dreamy princess in a way).

As I mentioned, I went to mainland China... my "motherland". In quotes because, though I'm technically of Chinese descent, I don't even speak Chinese, let alone know what you're supposed to be saying to each other when the Chinese New Year comes (is there such a thing? XD;). China is, in short, amazing. All the beauty and grandeur, the intricate workings of ancient architecture and crafts, the art, the people, and of course, the "OMFG THINGS ARE SO CHEAP HERE I GOTTA BUY!!11!!!1" factor. The Great Wall, for example, is simply a marvel... if I hadn't seen it for myself, my brain wouldn't have accepted the fact that such a thing could be made by man, hundreds of years ago. The modern buildings in the cities (Shanghai.. whoah. It's even got its own maglev train) are no less stunning. The rest of the world, watch out.

I was only planning for a quick stopover in Singapore on the way back, to check on my aunt who was about to have a surgery. The stopover lasted for a week, because I got to have a surgery of my own -- a wisdom tooth extraction. I now see what the fuss about wisdom teeth are all about -- it's FRIKKIN')(*@!&%PAINFUL. While my aunt laid in the surgery room having her stomach cut open, I sat in the dental surgeon's room and have my lower right gum and jaw cut open. Then we both have the wounds sewn back together, and we both had problems eating. The worst thing was that I still have to go back later, perhaps in July, to remove the upper teeth, which should be easy, and the lower left one, which, it is said, would be the most difficult to remove, due to the roots' position. Noooo ;o;

I think I'll stop with the horror stories now XD; I'm off to enjoy what few remaining days are left of my much-loved holiday, will post again later~!

Yaaay~ Johnny Depp won Best Actor in today's Screen Actors Guild Awards! <3 <3 Such a sweet coincidence too, that tonight From Hell was playing on Showtime. It's too violent for my tastes, but at least I got to see Mr. Depp XD I don't know how big a chance he's got for an Oscar, but I sure hope he wins so I get to see him on stage X3;

Finally got to see LoTR: RoTK too the other day~ It's stunning. What epic trilogy! What perfect cast! I can't wait for Troy X3~~
