So. Where do I start? So many things to write about.

First of all, I am, for the first time after 16 years, no longer a student - I graduated from University of Melbourne in December. Perhaps the thing that struck me most about being out of school is the fact that there are so many choices, so many decisions to make, and no one else can do it for you. A big, big change from your school days, where all you have to do is prepare for the next exam.

Then there was the holiday, which was awesome as usual, since I got to go back home and celebrate the festive season with my family.

I guess the point of this entry is just that I realize that my life now is just so completely different from the way it's been, when I was still in school. I'm now stepping into the "real world" (so they call it). So far it's been great, though I can see that it'll be change and more change as I go along, as it's been in the last couple of months. I've got a couple of plans culminating for the future, we'll see whether they'll work out.

As for now, I'm happy to let life take its course and teach me its lessons.

Oh, and thank God, I was in Singapore when the Boxing Day tsunami hit. I was _this_ close to being on a cruise to Langkawi and/or Phuket the day it happened, but luckily the wisdom teeth operation I had a couple of days before effectively put a stop to that plan. My family (extended and otherwise) and I are all safe; our homes in Indonesia are unharmed, since we live on a different island (Java, not Sumatra where Aceh is). Thank you for your concerns and e-mails! I really appreciate it~

My heart and thoughts go out to those who are affected by the disaster - among these are a couple of my friends, and some of my other friends' families.
